Central Transport Courier

Privacy policy

What we collect, why, and what we do with it. Short, because there is not much to say.

What we collect

To move a shipment we need the shipper's and receiver's name, address and phone number, and a description of what is being sent. As the shipment travels we record when and where it was handled. When you contact us, we keep the message. Our servers keep ordinary logs of the pages requested.

Why we hold it

To deliver the shipment, to answer questions about it, to comply with transport and tax law, and to resolve a claim if one is made. We do not use your details for anything else.

What the tracking page shows

Anyone holding a tracking number can open its page, so the page shows only what is safe for anyone to see: the status, the city-level route, and names reduced to a first name and initial. Street addresses and phone numbers stay hidden unless the viewer enters the destination postal code or postcode, or the last four digits of the receiver's phone. Lookups are rate limited to stop bulk harvesting.

Who we share it with

  • Partner carriers, for the part of the journey they operate
  • Customs authorities, where the law requires a declaration
  • Nobody else. We do not sell customer data and we do not pass it to advertisers.

How long we keep it

Shipment records for seven years, which is what transport and customs law requires. Notification subscriptions until you unsubscribe or 90 days after delivery, whichever is first. Contact messages for two years. Server logs for 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where no legal retention period applies. Email the address in the footer and we reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
